Energy Between Us

Using acrylic and oil paint, gels and mediums on a wooden panel, I create colorful illustrations of figures and auras. Some texture is brought into my paintings through palette knife techniques. Saturated colors enhance the atmosphere of the feelings. I want to be able to connect to the underlying emotions of others through the hues I put in my work. Multiple layers of paint help the expressive and surrealist paintings come to life to illustrate energies that will intertwine, interact, and produce a flow of energy.
Everyone has their own unique energy that identifies with their personality. People can pick up
on a variety of different energies while interacting with one another. These auras are visualized
through this series. I want to share these different feelings through movement and texture.
